Gurugram Property Tax Camps: MCG’s Special Drive for Self-Certification from April 6-10

The Gurugram civic body’s taxation department is organizing special camps across the city from April 6 to 10. This decision comes after the MCG commissioner instructed property owners to promptly complete self-certification of their property tax data. These Gurugram property tax camps aim to facilitate the filing of objections, settlement of dues, and correction of property tax data, which currently contains inaccuracies.

The schedule for the Gurugram property tax camps is as follows:

  • April 6: South City-1 and Signature Global Solera in Sector 107
  • April 7: Ardee City
  • April 8: Sunischit Apartment in Sector 54
  • April 9: Community center in Suncity and E-2071 in Palam Vihar
  • April 10: RWA office in A block of Sushant Lok-2

This initiative follows a review meeting held on April 2, where MCG commissioner Narhari Singh Banger emphasized the need for mega campaigns in collaboration with RWAs. The goal is to encourage property owners to self-certify their data, settle outstanding dues, and obtain a no-objection certificate, crucial for transactions like sale, purchase, lease, and rental registrations.

Officials believe this move will ensure that property owners’ data, including their names, plot size, and address, are correct, and that the tax bills generated are accurate. MCG spokesperson SS Rohilla stated, “The commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential property data has been successfully uploaded onto the portal, property(dot)ulbharyana(dot)gov(dot)in. The latest property tax information is available on the portal too. Residents can log in using their registered mobile numbers to review and correct any errors in the data.”

In January 2022, a survey conducted by a private agency found that 5.1 lakh properties fall under the MCG’s jurisdiction. After completing the survey, residents complained about incorrect details in the new property IDs generated, resulting in a faulty database. MCG is gradually rectifying the data through organizing such Gurugram property tax camps.
