The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) announced on Tuesday that it has successfully reclaimed 60,000 square meters of illegally occupied land valued at Rs 120 crore from encroachers. This action came after a demolition drive targeted at illegal structures built by colonisers on GNIDA-notified land parcels.

According to a statement released by GNIDA, the illegal constructions covered 40,000 square meters in Kheda Chauganpur and 20,000 square meters in Bisrakh. The local work circle team carried out the demolition drive, freeing the land from encroachment.
Himanshu Verma, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at GNIDA, stated, “The team has freed about 40,000 square meters of land in Kheda Chauganpur and taken possession of 20,000 square meters in Bisrakh, freeing it from encroachment.” The estimated market value of the reclaimed land is Rs 120 crore.
GNIDA CEO N G Ravi Kumar cautioned the public against fraudulent colonisers, urging them to verify land details with the authority before making any purchases. “No person is allowed to carry out illegal construction in the notified area of Greater Noida,” he emphasized.
The authority’s proactive measures aim to prevent illegal encroachments and protect the rights of legitimate landowners. GNIDA’s efforts underscore the importance of due diligence when investing in real estate to avoid falling victim to scams.
