Delhi LG has Directed DSIIDC to Extend Deadline for Allottees in Narela, Bhorgarh, and Bawana Industrial Areas

Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has instructed the Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) to extend the deadline by six months for allottees in the industrial areas of Narela, Bhorgarh, and Bawana under the relocation scheme. Expressing dissatisfaction over DSIIDC’s failure to comply with his earlier directive to submit an action taken report on basic services in these areas, Saxena emphasized the need for an extension due to delays in plot possession and factory construction.

The LG’s office stated, “LG has directed DSIIDC to grant an extension of six months to the allottees in industrial areas of Narela, Bhorgarh, and Bawana in North West Delhi under the relocation scheme for depositing the balance cost of plot and for applying for NOC for construction of the factory building.”

In October 2023, Saxena had issued several directives to DSIIDC to improve infrastructure for ease of doing business, citing a lack of upgrades over the past decade. He called for the establishment of a single window in DSIIDC to facilitate clearances and support for allottees. The LG’s office emphasized the need for swift action and accountability, directing DSIIDC to submit an action taken report within seven days and to hold officers accountable for the previous inaction.
