YEIDA to Launch Software Technology Park in Noida Sector 28

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to create its first software technology park in Noida’s Sector 28, spanning across 100 acres. This new development is designed to support IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) companies, boosting the region’s tech infrastructure and attracting major players in the industry.
During the Semicon 2024 event held on September 11 in Greater Noida, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the IT sector would be granted industry status, allowing companies in the sector to enjoy reduced plot prices and lower electricity tariffs—benefits previously exclusive to the industrial sector. This shift is expected to accelerate growth and encourage investment in the upcoming software technology park.
YEIDA’s First IT Park in Noida
The planned software technology park will consist of 10 plots, each measuring 2.5 acres. YEIDA is currently in discussions with major Indian IT companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro to set up operations in this park, aiming to foster a hub for tech innovation in the region.
YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh highlighted the significance of this project, noting, “The YEIDA board has approved the layout plan for the software technology park, and we are currently in discussions with leading IT firms for operations.”
During an August review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Adityanath, it was proposed that plots exceeding 8,000 sqm could be allocated through an interview-based process, while smaller plots could be allotted through e-auctions.
Expansion of Mixed-Use Land Plots
Due to a decreasing demand for larger plots, YEIDA has downsized the plot sizes for mixed-use land development in Sectors 24 and 24A, reducing them from 10 acres to 2.5 acres. Furthermore, a new scheme offering 20 mixed-use plots will be launched during the Navratri festival. These plots will allocate 75% of the land for core activities like industry or business, with additional space for residential, commercial, and essential facilities.
