However, the numbers rebounded to 236,000 in 2021, 357,000 in 2022, and reached a record high of 445,000 units in 2023. The trend is expected to continue, with projections suggesting the number will exceed 500,000 units this year.

To address these real estate contractor challenges, developers are adopting various strategies:
