GNIDA Demolishes Illegal Encroachment in Tusyana Village

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) recently took decisive action to reclaim approximately 75,000 square meters of land, valued at around Rs 150 crore, from illegal encroachment in Tusyana village. The operation, directed by GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar, involved the use of bulldozers to demolish illegal structures on plots numbered 517, 964, 981, 985, 995, and 1,007.
The authority’s statement highlighted that local colonizers were attempting to develop an unauthorized colony on the reclaimed land. Led by Work Circle Three in-charge Narottam Chaudhary, a dedicated team successfully carried out the demolition, clearing the area of illegal constructions.
Himanshu Verma, the general manager and OSD of the project department, issued a stern warning against land-grabbing in notified areas, emphasizing the authority’s zero-tolerance policy. He urged all work circle in-charges to remain vigilant and promptly act upon receiving any information about encroachments.
Furthermore, Additional CEO Annapurna Garg advised the public to refrain from investing in plots within illegal colonies. She encouraged individuals who have purchased plots in such areas to file complaints with the police, providing registry documents to facilitate legal action against the colonizers. Garg stressed the importance of verifying land details with the authority before making any purchases in Greater Noida.
The GNIDA, a statutory body under the Uttar Pradesh government, is responsible for the planned development of Greater Noida, contributing to the city’s growth in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district.
