UP-RERA Forms Division Bench to Address Allottee Complaints

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has introduced a division bench at its Lucknow headquarters, under the leadership of Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy. This move aims to streamline the process of handling complaints from property buyers.

If ten or more allottees, an association of allottees (AoA), or a resident welfare association (RWA) file a complaint concerning a particular project, the division bench will be responsible for addressing these grievances. Additionally, any cross-complaints filed by promoters against allottees will also be handled by this bench.

Bhoosreddy highlighted that this new system will promote fairness and consistency in decision-making for significant cases, while also ensuring quicker enforcement of the authority’s orders.

Key Highlights of this Initiative

  • UP-RERA forms a division bench for hearing mass complaints from allottees.
  • The bench ensures uniform and timely resolution of disputes.
  • Cross-complaints from promoters will also be handled by this bench.

This initiative is expected to enhance transparency and efficiency in resolving real estate disputes across Uttar Pradesh.
