Lucknow: PMAY Lottery System Allots 369 Homes to Applicants

In a major development for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), a total of 369 applicants on the waiting list were successfully allotted homes through a transparent PMAY lottery system in Lucknow. The event took place on Tuesday at the Baradari Lawn, LDA Building, under the supervision of Vice-Chairperson Prathmesh Kumar.

The PMAY lottery system allowed applicants to draw slips themselves, making the process highly participatory and transparent. As their names were announced, the long wait for many turned into a moment of relief and joy. Of the total allotments, 209 houses were allocated under the Sharda Nagar Extension Scheme, while 160 were assigned under Sector-N of the Basant Kunj Yojana.

To ensure complete transparency and fairness, the entire process of the lottery system was videographed. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) also ensured that applicants who were unable to attend the event in person still received their rightful allocations.

This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing to underprivileged sections of society. By leveraging the lottery system, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana continues to bring hope and security to families aspiring to own their own homes.
