DDA to Conduct E-Auction for Dwarka Flats on Sept 24

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to hold an e-auction for Dwarka flats under the Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024, beginning on September 24, 2024. This auction will cover penthouses, super HIG, HIG, and MIG flats across various sectors in Dwarka.
Earlier, DDA launched three housing schemes on August 20:
- Sasta Ghar Scheme: Offering 7,124 flats under the EWS and LIG categories.
- Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme: Featuring 1,843 flats across EWS, MIG, and HIG categories.
- Dwarka Housing Scheme: Offering 173 flats for the e-auction for Dwarka flats.
While the flats under the first two schemes were sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, the e-auction for Dwarka flats will be conducted daily from September 24-26, with sessions from 11 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 4 PM.
The bidding process will start at one hour per session. If a higher bid is placed within the last five minutes, the auction will be extended by five minutes, for up to a maximum of 20 extensions. This allows auctions to last for up to 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Interest in the e-auction for Dwarka flats has been high, with over 2,000 potential buyers having already submitted their earnest money deposit (EMD). “We believe that all 173 flats in Dwarka will be sold,” stated a DDA official.
Additionally, the sales for flats under the Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya schemes are expected to gain momentum during the Navaratri season. To date, about 1,700 of the 8,967 flats available in these two schemes have been sold, including all 41 flats in Jasola and over 700 flats in Rohini. The success of these schemes indicates growing interest in affordable and mid-range housing options in Delhi.
