Controversy Surrounding DDA Golf View Apartments Dwarka: Allottees Express Concerns Over Project Progress

The Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) new project at Golf View Apartments in Dwarka’s Sector 19B has faced criticism from allottees due to various issues. Allottees have raised concerns about unfinished finishing and infrastructure work, as well as the absence of all necessary permissions. Despite these concerns, the e-auctioning process has been completed, and the DDA has requested allottees to pay 75% of the amount within 60 days of receiving the demand-cum-allotment letters (DAL). There are doubts among buyers regarding the project’s completion by the promised deadline of June 30 and their ability to move in on time.

DDA has assured that work is progressing at the site, and they are confident of obtaining all permissions and fulfilling all promises made in the brochures within the specified timeline. The project, offering penthouses, super-HIG, and HIG flats, was sold through an e-auction for the first time in DDA’s history, with the allotment process taking place in three phases.

Some allottees have expressed concern about the demand for 75% of the amount within 60 days, considering the slow progress on the ground. They fear that the project may not be completed until Diwali, jeopardizing their investment. Additionally, many statutory compliances and approvals, such as those from the Real Estate Authority of India and fire NOC, are still pending.

The bidders have requested the authorities to either withdraw and defer the payment demand or reduce the amount to 25% for now and allow two months for the remaining payment. However, DDA officials have stated that the terms of the scheme were clearly mentioned in the brochure and communicated to the buyers. They explained that while DDA usually takes 100% of the demanded amount for complete flats, a relaxation was provided in this case due to the flats not being in move-in condition.

DDA officials have emphasized that they are making every effort to complete the project “DDA Golf View Apartments Dwarka”by June and have applied for necessary approvals. As of now, there are no plans to extend the deadline.
