DDA Extends Deadline for Dwarka Sector 19B Flats Payments
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has extended the deadline for the final installment payment on over 1,800 premium flats in Dwarka Sector 19B. The new deadline is September 30, up from the previous date of August 31. This extension, driven by buyer requests and ongoing finishing work, allows purchasers additional time to arrange funds.
The delay comes amidst complaints from buyers about incomplete essential services. Issues reported include the lack of electricity and water connections, unfinished main entrance gates, insufficient security staff, and underdeveloped recreational areas. Several buyers are concerned that possession might be delayed further, impacting their plans to move in by major festivals like Dussehra or Diwali.
One allottee who has completed full payment expressed frustration over the lack of basic amenities. “We anticipated moving in during Dussehra or Diwali, but with no electricity or water supply and ongoing construction, we doubt we can move in this year,” they said, preferring to remain anonymous.
Another buyer, yet to pay the final 25% installment, questioned the advance maintenance charges collected in March, noting that significant construction work remains unfinished. They highlighted the inconvenience of paying both a mortgage and living expenses while essential facilities are still incomplete.
The site in Dwarka Sector 19B includes 1,858 properties across 13 towers, featuring 170 Super HIG flats and 946 HIG flats, as well as 14 penthouses. The DDA official responded to concerns by explaining that the extension was granted to accommodate financial arrangements for buyers and to address the ongoing finishing work, ensuring a better overall experience for residents.
