Residents Criticize One-Sided Chintels Paradiso Redevelopment Agreement in Gurugram

In Gurugram, residents of Chintels Paradiso have raised concerns over the Chintels Paradiso redevelopment agreement prepared by the builder for the project’s redevelopment. They claim the agreement is one-sided and does not fairly represent their interests, particularly regarding the reconstruction of phase-1 towers D, E, F, G, and H. The residents have requested modifications to the Chintels Paradiso redevelopment agreement, emphasizing the need for a timeline for reconstruction and details on structured renting. They plan to discuss these issues with the district administration for rent fixation and payment.

Residents are critical of the redevelopment plan, stating that it will increase the society’s population, affecting existing resources and amenities. They oppose the buyback rates for J tower proposed by the administration. Residents believe that rent should be paid to homebuyers when the demolition process begins, as it is the first step toward reconstruction.

The developer’s representative mentioned that a team comprising affected flat residents was formed after a Supreme Court order, and negotiations led to some residents accepting the plan. These residents also indicated in emails that the RWA does not represent them. The developer reaffirms its commitment to rebuilding the towers, stating that all agreements comply with the SC order.
