UP-RERA Enforces Agent Training for Real Estate Professionals

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has introduced a mandatory three-day agent training program for real estate agents, addressing the need for enhanced skills, discipline, and a sense of responsibility among agents. This initiative aims to improve the professionalism and ethical conduct of agents, ensuring better service for homebuyers.

Key Points of the Training Initiative

• Mandatory Training: All real estate agents, whether already registered or seeking new registration, must complete this agent training. Failure to do so within a year could result in the cancellation of their registration.
• Online Enrollment: Agents from Lucknow, Gautambudh Nagar, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Moradabad must register online through the UP-RERA website.
• Collaborative Effort: UP-RERA has collaborated with esteemed training institutes to facilitate the training programs. Successful candidates will receive certificates signed by the UP-RERA secretary.

Objectives of the Training

• Enhancing Professionalism: The agent training aims to equip agents with sufficient knowledge of their work, the RERA Act, RERA Rules, and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Improving Ethics: Agents will be trained to inculcate proper work ethics, reducing instances of misleading information and false promises that often cause consumer grievances.
