Noida Pending Registries: Homebuyers Demand Urgent Action

Thousands of homebuyers in Noida have launched fresh protests over Noida pending registries, demanding immediate government action. On Sunday evening, residents from 32 housing societies, including 7X sectors and Sectors 141, 167, and 137, staged a shankhnaad (conch shell) protest within their societies. Their primary demands include the implementation of the Amitabh Kant Committee report and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s intervention.
Noida Pending Registries: A Growing Crisis
Currently, more than one lakh property registries are pending in Noida, causing severe financial stress to homeowners. Among these, 25,000 registries belong to the 7X sectors and surrounding areas, impacting a population of over 1.5 lakh residents. Homebuyers argue that the authorities must resolve the issue immediately to prevent further losses.
Protests at Mahakumbh and Other Demonstrations
Taking their agitation beyond Noida, 16 residents from Skytech Matrott, Sector 76, traveled to Mahakumbh in Prayagraj to raise awareness about Noida pending registries. They displayed banners at the holy gathering, urging the government to resolve their plight. Earlier, on January 26, homebuyers also held a black flag protest to further pressure the authorities.
Supertech Homebuyers vs. NCLT Officials
Frustration is mounting against the NCLT-appointed officials responsible for handling the registries of Supertech Eco Village 1 and 2. Residents claim that despite three years of waiting, there has been no significant progress. Many are demanding that the Noida Authority recover dues by auctioning builders’ assets instead of making homebuyers suffer.
Urgent Call for Government Action
Speaking from Mahakumbh, Saurabh Sinha, a Skytech Matrott resident, stressed the financial burden faced by homebuyers due to Noida pending registries. He stated, “This is a do-or-die situation for us. The government needs to take swift action to address this crisis.”
With protests escalating, the Noida Authority and Uttar Pradesh government are under increasing pressure to address the issue and provide relief to homebuyers who have been waiting for years to get legal ownership of their properties.
