Master Plan 2041 for Noida and Surrounding Areas

In a significant move towards advancing industrial growth, Uttar Pradesh’s Industrial Development Minister, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, recently reviewed the proposed Master Plan 2041 for Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority in Lucknow. This ambitious plan has received approval from the respective boards and is now awaiting government endorsement.

Nandi emphasized the transformative potential of these regions, stating, “These areas are poised to become the most developed in the country over the next 50 years, facilitated by seamless connectivity between them.” At the heart of this development is the forthcoming Jewar Airport, which officials anticipate will act as a catalyst for regional growth.

The Master Plan 2041 outlines a comprehensive strategy for mixed-use developments, incorporating hotels, restaurants, and modern workspaces. Shailendra Bhatia, Officer on Special Duty for the Yamuna Authority, highlighted that the proposal now encompasses 226 villages across a total area of 769 square kilometers.

A major focus of the plan is the expansion of the airport and aviation hub, which will cover an impressive 6,286.73 hectares and includes plans for 98 sectors. Notably, new land-use categories have been introduced to enhance hospitality and industrial development.

In addition, the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad has proposed development plans for Mathura. Noida’s strategy specifically targets the growth of 30 villages in Gautam Budh Nagar and 60 in Bulandshahr, aiming for a balanced land use comprising 40% industrial, 18% green spaces, and 18% residential zones.

According to officials from the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), connectivity remains a top priority, as effective transportation systems are fundamental to urban progress.

As Noida embarks on this ambitious journey, the Master Plan 2041 positions the region to thrive and evolve into a key player in India’s industrial landscape.
