Delhi Court Summons Ansal Properties MD Pranav Ansal in Criminal Case

A Delhi court has summoned Pranav Ansal, the vice chairman and managing director of Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Ltd, in a case involving alleged criminal intimidation, furnishing false information, and giving false evidence, along with criminal conspiracy. Pranav Ansal, who is the son of real estate tycoon Sushil Ansal, faces allegations of pressuring a former employee, Suneal Mangal, to resign from his position in the company. The complaint further alleges that Ansal and others threatened Mangal and his wife with severe consequences if they did not comply.

In response to this pressure, Mangal resigned from his position and subsequently filed three civil suits to recover his salary. However, Pranav Ansal and others reportedly retaliated by filing false criminal complaints against Mangal and his wife at the Hanuman Madir and Hauz Khas police stations.

Metropolitan Magistrate Devanshi Janmeja noted the seriousness of the allegations and found sufficient grounds to proceed against Pranav Ansal. The court issued a summons to Pranav Ansal to appear as an accused person in the case on July 31.

This legal development highlights the complexities and legal battles that can arise in the real estate sector, especially within prominent companies like Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Ltd.
